About KenMar Instrumentation Services
KenMar Instrumentation Services LLC specializes in offering expert service for vibration monitoring systems found on rotating machinery*, including installations, upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting. To help prevent unscheduled machinery downtime on balance of plant machinery, KenMar offers data collection and analysis on equipment conditions, known as Predictive Maintenance Programs, or PMP.
*The Bently Nevada® 3500, 3300 and 7200 systems are examples of permanently installed vibration monitoring systems. These monitoring systems are designed to accept a variety of transducer inputs and continuously monitor and display appropriate machinery parameters. Alarms are generated when conditions exceed user-established limits. These alarms can be used to automatically shut down the machine and/or to annunciate machinery problems to operators and other plant personnel. Transducers are installed in or on the machine to make appropriate measurements such as vibration, position, speed, pressure, torque, power, and others.

KMSensorsAnnounces Acquisition of Gilchrist Technology, Inc.
For immediate release 08/24/2011 Auburn, CA KMSensors, dba KenMar Instrumentation Hardware LLC, is please to announce its acquisition of Gilchrist Technology, Inc (GTI). GTI is a highly respected manufacturer of transmitters and other products related to the vibration monitoring industry. With this acquisition, KenMar elevates it’s already stellar supplier reputation within the rapidly expanding multi-billion dollar industry of Condition Monitoring Equipment.
“Gilchrist products are a natural fit.” says KenMar VP Operations, Keith Nesbitt.“By adding GTI products into our diverse product line of condition monitoring equipment, we enhance an already remarkable product line.Especially exciting is the addition of the Gilchrist 3503 transmitter, which has isolation between the 4-20 ma and the dynamic signal outputs. It is not affected by 60 HZ contamination nor any effect on the DC gap signals when an external instrument is attached to the dynamic signal output. In fact, even with a direct short on the dynamic signal output there is no effect on the 4-20 ma output of the Gilchrist transmitter.”
Gilchrist Technology, Inc. is a world leader in innovative and quality vibration monitoring and calibration instrumentation will expand the KenMar's reach into the condition monitoring market with its capability to offer a complete solution to clients. The acquired GTI product line features everything from sophisticated web accessible condition and vibration monitors to inexpensive but reliable 4-20mA galvanically isolated loop transmitters. These transmitter converts mechanical energy (vibration, temperature or axial) into isolated 4-20ma data.

AUBURN, CA – Mar 31 2011 – KenMar Instrumentation Services LLC announced today it has spun off its hardware business into a separate entity.
“Our business has always been focused on service,” says President and CEO Margery Cook. “We supply installation and turnaround support services for vibration monitoring systems. However, we found that our customers were not receiving the care and support they needed from their OEMs and would contact us to supply them with hardware associated with our industry, Condition & Vibration Monitoring.
KenMar was created to be a service business and not a parts business. We wanted our customers to be able to receive quality care and customer service they were not receiving from their OEM suppliers, and yet keep our focus on our services. It seemed the best way to accomplish both goals was to create a separate entity that would specialize in hardware sales. We began to search for people with a background in our industry with strong customer services skills, who believed as we do, that the customer always comes first. We soon found Keith Nesbitt, who we hired to run the new company, and with all the pieces in place, KenMar Instrumentation Hardware LLC was born.”
KenMar Instrumentation Hardware LLC will sell vibration monitoring systems and components manufactured by Bently Nevada, Metrix Instruments, Alta Solutions and others. It is expected that Keith Nesbitt will bring in other suppliers, based on the needs of customers and end users, and build a team focus on customer service.
